Had a lovely stay at the Motel One in Glasgow so convenient for the station. The room was roomy and well appointed we were on the 8th floor and had a great view down Hope street. The breakfast was continental and plentiful. All the staff were friendly helpful and professional. The only thing was and I suppose this is a COVID side effect house keeping didn't clean our room or make our bed during our 2 night stay this wasn't a big problem but it's always nice to get into a bed that's been made for you all in all we had a good stay and would return next time we visit Glasgow.

If you're getting off a late night train into Glasgow Central this location is practically unbeatable. Like others have said, the rooms are simple, you shouldn't expect a wardrobe or a room full of features. A comfortable bed, a large TV, and a modern bathroom is what you get and what you pay for. The room has tea and coffee and a kettle, with paper cups. Perhaps not classy and sophisticated as some would like, but if you're drinking it in your room on your own it surely doesn't matter. Some of the light fittings were a bit wobbly and the plugs could have perhaps done with a bit more of a thorough clean but to me these are only minor issues in the wider picture. The public lounge area looked really comfortable with drinks from the bar, although we didn't actually try it out. For a busy and loud street we heard nothing to disturb us during our two night stay on the second floor facing out onto the road. Due to staffing issues we were told on check-in that our rooms wouldn't be serviced during our stay, but the reception area stocks tea, coffee, and fresh towels if you needed them changing. This wasn't an issue for a 2 night stay whatsoever. The TV in the room was a large LG smart TV but either the functions for internet connectivity had been disabled, disconnected, or were otherwise not working at the time. A clean and comfortable first stay at a Motel One and one that would reassure me to book again at this or another location.

We were put in a room quite high up and I’m a bit uneasy with heights. It was our anniversary and I explained to the guy that the height made me feel uneasy. He switched us rooms to the first floor and even upgraded us without charge. The staff were lovely and the place overall is just so nice and reasonable! We’ll be back.

Great stay in Motel One. Can't fault anything from the super-comfy bed and great shower, lovely decor, nice big TV, etc. It was only a brief overnight stay so I didn't use the communal areas but they look lovely and there was a coffee bar. I probably wouldn't use it for more than 1 or 2 nights as there was nowhere to store clothes (other than a small bit of hanging space) but perfect for what I needed.
